On Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 6:17 p.m., the Newton County Sheriff's Office was advised of two missing juveniles off Sheppard Road (CR 3114) just north of the Waste Management Landfill. Upon arrival, the preliminary investigation indicated the juveniles has been playing in the woods and became lost around dark. Deputies began searching the woods and nearby roadways but were unable to locate the missing juveniles.
