Theda was born in August of 1935 in Vidor TX, where she graduated high school. She married Melvin Janise in 1952 and in 1955 they had a son Thomas. Theda later enrolled in Lamar University where she graduated with degrees in mathematics and education. She taught High School math for two years and then got a job with the Texas employment commission where she worked as a job placement specialist in Beaumont and Galveston. When Texas Workforce was formed, she was transferred to the Weslaco and Edinburg office in South Texas. Fatal Accident on I10 (Update)
On Monday, January 13, 2025, at 2:29 AM, officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to the South Service Road near the MLK exit ramp eastbound in reference to a traffic accident involving a bicycle. Upon arrival, officers began to investigate the traffic accident. The pedestrian riding the bicycle was identified as 31-year-old male Jason Will from Orange. Life saving measures were being administered, but Jason succumbed to his injuries.
