Council Hears From Food Truck Owners
At the last meeting of the Orange City Council, approximately ten local food truck owners were in attendance to complain about being turned down at the Orangetober Fest event coming up in October. The city has recently changed their policy on which food trucks will be allowed to work the city sponsored events. Vendors now have to fill out a form and be chosen by a committee. O’Shaquie Foster, the WBC super featherweight champion from Orange, will defend his title against reigning WBC Featherweight Champ Stephen Fulton on Oct. 25 at the MGM in Vegas as the Co-Main Event. A man riding a motorcycle is in serious condition following an accident late Thursday night. Vidor Police Chief Rodney Johnson said they were called to the 500 block of Pineburr St. for a motorcycle accident. The driver lost control, left the road, and was found about 100 feet from the road. Margaret Trahan, 81, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was born on August 4, 1944, in Oakland, California, and had been a longtime resident of Vidor.
