Drug Arrest In Deweyville
Deputy Scarborough with the Newton County Sheriff's Office was patrolling Hwy. 87 in Deweyville when he made a traffic stop near the intersection of CR 4182. While speaking with the driver he became suspicious of possible criminal activity. Further investigation found methamphetamine on the driver. Wednesday around 4:30pm there was an accident at the intersection of Meeks and Allie Payne between and LCMCISD School Bus and a black Camaro. According to Supt. Stacey Brister the bus driver was communicating with a rider and took the turn too sharp, striking the Camaro that was at the stop sign.
