Thursday UPDATE: The driver of the truck has been identified and is cooperating with police. - On Friday, August 29, 2025, at approximately 5:03 am in front of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, a white male was traveling south on his bicycle along the right-hand shoulder. A red-colored pickup truck, also traveling southbound, passed the cyclist in the right-hand lane. The City of Orange Police Department is currently investigating a theft that occurred on Monday, August 25, 2025, at approximately 1:04 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Red’s Liquor, located at 6896 N. Hwy 87 in Orange, Texas, in reference to the incident. According to the store clerk, a patron exited the business with merchandise that had not been paid for.
