The LCM Bears held off a late rally by Lumberton to beat the Raiders 3-2 at Don Gibbens Field. The Bears jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a Parker Seago HR. Clay Darby drove in Clay Raney in the second and a Sac Fly by Jakson Struwe in the fourth scored Ethan Fry for a 3-0. Lumberton would score two in the fifth and then in the seventh the Raiders had the tying run at third when Seago hit his pitch count. The Orangefield boys and girls are leading the District Meet after a windy Day One in Anahuac Tuesday. The boys lead 58-50 over Anahuac and the Lady Bobcats lead East Chambers 91.5-65.5. The running finals will be Thursday. Zach Morrow was a triple gold winner, taking first in the pole vault, triple jump and long jump. The Bobcats also finished 1-2-3 in the pole vault.
