Fatality In Tuesday Morning Accident (Update)
A 44 year old woman from Orange County was pronounced dead Tuesday following an accident on Womack Rd. A dump truck collided with a Toyota SUV after the woman driving the Toyota attempted to pass the the truck. The two collided, resulting in the SUV catching fire and the dump truck turning on its side. The call came in around 9:45am with the accident on Womack which runs in between I-10 and FM1078. After seeing action in just two games his freshman season, Orangefield grad Jason Bodin is getting to show his stuff in year two of playing in the Southeastern Conference. Young Man Helps Eagle Fly Again
Thanks to a young man from Vidor, one of our National Birds is back in the wild. Back in March, Bryson McCoy of Vidor was in his kayak in the Neches River when he noticed a bald eagle struggling in the water. McCoy said, "I sent a video to my mom and she came down there. I stayed with it about an hour as we waited for the game warden to show up." The eagle was transported to the Houston SPCA Wildlife Center where they located a fishing hook lodged in the muscle of one wing, rendering him unable to fly.
