William (Bill) Pittillo of Orange left this world on Easter Sunday(4/20/2025). He was born on June 7th, 1954 in Portland Oregon. Bill was a Vietnam War Veteran who earned the Silver Star. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, Bill tried several different types of employment but finally found his niche as an Aircraft Mechanic. Darin Johnson, 54, of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Beaumont Baptist Hospital, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Born with a fishing rod in one hand and probably a hunting rifle in the other (figuratively speaking—his mom would like to clarify that), Darin was happiest outdoors. Two In Hospital After Accident
A male driver and a female passenger are in the hospital following an accident Sunday evening around 8:20pm. According to authorities at the scene a mid-county man in a Toyota Tundra was driving westbound on I-10 and attempted to take the Hwy. 62 exit and lost control, just missing a telephone pole and striking a fence. The man had to be cut out of the truck but was talking at the scene. His female passenger suffered a few more injuries. Both were taken to the hospital to be treated. John R. Rochelle, 84, of Houma, passed away on April 17, 2025. He was born to John W. Rochelle and Margie Tunnell Rochelle in Denton, TX on January 7, 1941. John grew up in Orange, TX, where he graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in 1959. After graduation he attended his first year of college at North Texas University (NTU) and found that he was not ready for college. Pink hibiscus mealybugs are oval shaped insects that are pale pink to reddish-brown in color and the insects’ body is covered with white, cotton-like wax.
