Born on September 19, 1929, in Hemphill, Texas, to Henry Hardy Stewart and Florence Beatrice Stewart, Eldon lived a remarkable life marked by determination, innovation, and unwavering devotion to family. Weekly Fishing Report Week of September 10, 2025 Sabine LakeGOOD. 89 degrees. Speckled trout are good at the short rigs in 25-35 feet of water with three-quarter ounce jigs with LSU color baits. Nice tripletail can be caught running to the gulf. Some nice cobia and ling can also be caught running the rigs. Finishing up with nice catches of sheepshead and drum at the jetties working live shrimp on Carolina rigs right by the rocks on the bottom. Week 3 Football Schedule/Scores
Some big games in Week 3. None bigger than Bridge City traveling to Orangefield in what could be the most evenly matched Bayou Bowl ever. Fewest turnovers wins. WOS is in a familiar spot at 1-1 which is where they were last year when they got a big win over Waco LaVega that seemed to carry over the rest of the season. LCM is in a similar spot at 0-2. They beat Iowa last year in Wk. 3 and cruised to an undefeated district title. Now they travel to Louisiana looking for the same result. OFD Makes Major Save
Tuesday Orange Firefighters were called to the Sunset Apartments for a report of a fire. When they arrived they saw flames running up the outside of one of the units. They quickly attacked the fire and kept it from being a huge loss for the apartments that were built back in the seventies.
