Four groups at Orangefield Elementary School have returned to their renovated classrooms for the first time since Hurricane Harvey.
Assistant Superintendent Shawn McAlpin said kindergarten, first, and second grades, plus the Lifeskills class, are back in their areas. They had been using classrooms on the campus that had temporary remodeling to make them suitable for students, but they had not been renovated.
The classrooms that were vacated are now being renovated for the third and fourth grades. Those grades are in other rooms on the campus. McAlpin said administrators hope the third and fourth grades can get back to their section by March.
