The Orangefield ISD is considering moving fifth grade classes to the elementary school from the junior high next year. Three community meetings have been scheduled for people to give their opinions on the move.
The meetings will be at 5:30 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria on Thursday, April 11; Monday, April 15, and Thursday, April 18.
Superintendent Dr. Stephen Patterson and Elementary Principal Amanda Jenkins are encouraging parents of current fourth grade students to attend so they can learn more about the plan.
In addition to moving the fifth grade, the district is proposing moving bus transporation to the elementary campus.
