A woman from Orange died Monday night after a two vehicle collision in Beaumont.
Beaumont police report 44-year-old Samantha Swanson was seriously injured and later died at a Beaumont hospital.
The crash was about 8:30 p.m. at South MLK Drive and Florida Avenue. Police said Swanson was a passenger in a Ford Sport Trac truck northbound on South MLK Drive. The truck failed to yield the right of way at an unprotected green light. As Swanson’s truck turned westbound onto Florida Avenue, it was hit on the right passenger side by a Ford F-150 pickup traveling southbound on MLK.
