A woman from Orange is facing charges of tampering with evidence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in connection with the murder case of a 64-year-old Livingston man.
The Polk County Sheriff’s office reports 22-year-old Brooke Ashley Cormier was arrested for the charges as part of the investigation of the death of Leonard Earl Chatman. Chatman’s body was found last month in the front yard of his house outside of Livingston.
Chatman’s son, 40-year-old Lynnie Ray Chatman, has been arrested and charged with capital murder with a bond of $1 million. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said Cormier was the girlfriend of Lynnie Ray Chatman.
