July 19, Orange Police were dispatched to 1613 Barkins in reference to a burglary of a habitation.
Monecia Fezia was arrested after she was spotted inside Kroger. The store had filed previous criminal trespass notices against her. After she was approached by an officer, Fezia used her phone to call 911 and say she was being harrassed by an officer. Two officers were needed to put her into handcuffs. Fezia was recently arrested at Luigi’s Restaurant for Disorderly Conduct after throwing food off the tables after she was told she would have to pay for her food order before it was cooked because she had left without paying before.
Last weekend OPD respondedd to Sparrow’s Funeral Home after copper had been stolen from the air conditioner.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on 37th St in Orange.
Police responded to the 1600 block of 9th St after a man was found unresponsive in a ditch. Turns out he was sleeping, and had a warrant. He was taken to the OC Jail.
A man was arrested for Boating While Intoxicated after parking his boat at the Orange Boat Club. He admitted he had several drinks but told officers he had not had a drink in about three hours. He blew a .098 and a .094. The law says the limit is .08
Also an Orange man was indicted by a Jefferson County Grand Jury for being charged with a third DWI. Juan Perez, 42, was driving a Jeep Patriot and reportedly swerving back and forth, when he was stopped on Hwy. 124 in Beaumont. He blew a .212 and a .203 and was taken to jail. He had previous DWI’s in 2010 and 2017.
