Orange Police report a hit and run on March 12. Five people were in a white Nissan Titan traveling east on the I-10 service road near Chik-Fil-A when they approached the Bob Hall Rd. intersection. A truck traveling north on Bob Hall, failed to stop, running into the Nissan and then fleeing the scene. A witness reported the truck as possibly a 90’s model black Dodge Ram with no tailgate. According to the report none of the five needed a hospital transport.
Over the weekend OPD stopped a Mazda truck in the 2500 block of Park Ave. for a traffic violation. After searching the truck, Dallas Paul Inman of Orange was arrested and charge with possession of Amphetamine (more than 4 grams but less than 200).
Police were called to Krogers after management reported that a white male in a maroon hoodie was inside stealing items. As the male left the store he was questioned and searched by police but no stolen items were recovered. However, a check of the man, Chad William Stanley of Port Neches, showed four warrants. The warrants were for Assault, Reckless Damage, No Drivers License and Open Container. He was taken to the Orange County Jail.
An unfortunate accident resulted in three cars being damaged on MacArthur Drive March 13. A 20 year old woman was pulling out of LaCantina Restaurant was she suffered what police called a medical emergency and became unconscious at the wheel. Her vehicle struck another that was attempting to turn in to the restaurant. She then drove across MacArthur, through a ditch and struck one of the vehicles parked in the Granger Chevrolet lot. The woman was treated by emergency personnel and believed to have had a seizure.
