Orange police are investigating two separate cases of threats made to individuals.
One complaint was filed Friday afternoon. A man living in the Little Cypress area went to the police station after getting a second day of threats.
The complainant said a man he knows was getting evicted from an apartment. The man being evicted called Thursday and wanted to move in with the complainant, who refused. The evictee threatened to kill the man and his daughter.
A second call came on Friday. Once again, the complainant refused to let the evictee move in, and the evictee threatened to kill him. That’s when the complainant went to police.
On Saturday evening, the police went to a house in the Brownwood neighborhood. A woman said a man she knows had been threatening to kill her through phone calls and Facebook posts.
She left her house for a while on Saturday and returned to find her back door open. The door frame had been damaged.
A 27-year-old Winfree area man was injured Saturday afternoon when the pickup truck he was driving went off the Interstate 10 frontage road and hit a highway guard rail.
The collision was at 4:43 p.m. in the westbound lane of North Lutcher Drive near Tejas Drive. Orange police report Dustin Alvin Gregoire was driving a Chevrolet Silverado in the right lane westbound. For an unknown reason, he left the roadway and hit the guard rail.
The report said Orange police took him to the Southeast Texas Medical Center in Port Arthur for treatment.
