The City of Orange Economic Development Corporation is planning to help another business in the Cove neighborhood.
The EDC board of directors will meet Tuesday and vote on giving a grant of up to $150,000 to help with infrastructure on a new building for Bayou Metals Specialties at 1813 DuPont Drive.
In October, the board and city council gave a maximum $150,000 EDC grant to Tarver Performance Marine to construct a new $440,000 building at 2112 DuPont Drive.
The grants come from a special sales tax approved by voters. The grants cover are paid through reimbursements.
Also on Tuesday, the EDC board will vote on a maximum grant of $250,000 to Columbanus Motorsports to build at 3500 Interstate 10. The company currently operates as Honda of Orange on Strickland Drive in Pinehurst.
The city in September announced the company would be relocating to Orange.
Both grants must also be approved by the Orange City Council, which also meets on Tuesday after the EDC board. The board meeting is at 4:30 p.m. and the council is at 5:30. Both are in the council auditorium next to the Orange Public Library.
