10pm Update-
The National Hurricane Center is feeling confident that Hurricane Delta will make landfall east side of Cameron Parish Friday night as a major hurricane, just six weeks after Hurricane Laura landed within miles of the same location.
They’re also feeling good about Orange County avoiding dangerous wind and rain. The county is under a Tropical Storm warning as opposed to a hurricane warning. Wind gusts could reach 30-60 mph and rain could measure up to 6 inches.
One concern is the amount of leaning trees from Laura as well as large limbs that are broken but still hanging from the trees.
Delta is also a fast moving storm and predictions are that the storm could be north of the Orange County area before midnight Friday.
