The Orange City Council will have its regular second meeting of the month Tuesday at 9 a.m. Only 10 people will be allowed in the council chambers and the meeting will be conducted through a conference call site.
The number to call for the meeting is 1-866-899-4679, with access code 543-484-565.
In the previous two phone conference meetings, four of the seven council members were in the council chambers and three members participated on the phone call. Mayor Larry Spears also allows the public to comment on the phone during the time for citizens.
Council business includes lifting the order for disaster pay to city employees on April 20. The council will also have a closed-door executive session on negotiations to buy the old Cove school property on DuPont Drive. The city has budgeted money to tear down the vacant building that has not been used for classes for more than 25 years. The West Orange-Cove school district sold the property about 20 years ago.
