All the apartment complexes have raisd their rent tremendously and most if not all have passed on prices to Tennant’s even though the cost to rebuild was not all of the owners pockets but by insurance and government help. Good to see the rich get richer very biblical RIP Orange maybe next census we can be below 17,000 residents and hopefully become a small country town. This will help Orange county with great attractions such as flea markets and good ole greased pig contest.
The free market determines prices on everything including rent. If the demand for an apartment is high, the rent will be high. The reason why rent is so high here is because of out of town folks who are here for work, and the fact that not a lot of people are actually buying houses, and among other reasons as well.
Also, it turns out that typically if you charge more in rent the less likely it is that the person you are renting to is goung to damage your property.
I do understand your sentiment though. I paid rent for a long time around these parts. Then I got married and bought a house. Best decision I ever made in my life.
They are charging rent based off the apartment association they all belong to. An most of the apartments in orange are old and out dated they don’t have something as simple as washer and dryer hook ups but yet they won’t full price like a new complex very sad to see the price. Gouging
Glad you informed me the apartments we’re going to out of town workers. There is a group of people who were waiting for their old apartment to be rebuilt so they could move back in. Their rent that was $600 will eventually be $900 they are told. Same apartment newer Looking. The demand is for people who were currently living there. Rent hike for newer items is to be expected but to hike a 2 bedroom apartment rent $200 from $600 to $900 when a bulk of the cost to repair didn’t come from owners pockets. We do appreciate your information tho well over 100 families were waiting for their apartment who were told they would be called back maybe they can get a lil greene too ????
