Orange police are investigating an incident in which a gun was fired at a car on Third Street late Monday morning.
Patrol officer D.A. Slaughter said a woman in a Toyota sedan flagged him down at 11:40 a.m. as he was traveling in the 2800 block of Bob Hall Road. The woman said someone shot at her car. He had her go to the police station to file a report.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the woman lives out of town and had gone to a neighborhood on Third Street to pick up a male friend. As the friend walked to the car, a group of men confronted him. He got in the car and they drove away. Someone fired a shot at the car and hit it, causing minor damage. No one was hurt.

A 41-year-old man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine Monday night after a traffic stop on Bear Trail at FM 1130.
Orange Detective Captain Robert Enmon said a patrol officer saw a Ford truck traveling on FM 1130 with a defective brake light and stopped it. The officer found 15.3 grams, or half an ounce, of methamphetamine on the passenger.
Christopher David Ford was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Enmon said the driver was not arrested.
