A burglar broke windows in four cars belonging to residents of the Heritage Center apartment complex for senior citizens and the disabled.
Orange police were called about 8 Monday morning to the center, which is in the historic Curtis School at College and Division streets. One married couple, ages 84 and 79, had two cars with damage.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said a handgun was the only thing reported missing in the break-ins.
The patrol officer sent to the Heritage Center noticed a window broken in a pick-up truck parked at The Old Orange Cafe across the street. Captain Enmon said nothing was found missing from the truck.
More than $12,000 worth of equipment was reported stolen from a warehouse on Monday. The warehouse is on 15th Street. The missing items were an AMP Kohler Commercial Pro 3500 air compressor/generator/welder, and an AMP Koher air compressor.
