
A 45-year-old woman was taken to a Port Arthur hospital Monday morning after an SUV that ran a stop sign hit the SUV she was driving.
Orange police reported Tarsha Renee Carter of Orange had non-incapacitating injuries in the collision that happpened about 9 Monday morning at the intersection of Burton Avenue and 14th Street. She was taken by Acadian Ambulance to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Police said Carter was driving a Ford Focus westbound on Burton. The Ford was hit by a Lincoln MKX driven by 20-year-old Michaela Culpepper of Orange. The Lincoln had been northbound on 14th Street and had a stop sign. Police report she was cited for failure to yield right of way.

The man who hit a telephone pole on 10th Street Monday afternoon told police he took evasive action to avoid a vehicle that pulled out from Pine Avenue. However, Orange police report there were no witnesses to corroborate his account.
The driver of the Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was identified at 64-year-old Rillius E. Prince III of Vinton, Louisiana. Police reported he was not injured. The telephone pole was knocked over onto a fence.
