
A DeRidder, Louisiana, man was killed Sunday night after he was ejected from his Jeep after hitting utility poles on Green Avenue by Simmons Drive.
Orange police report 29-year-old David Warren Danielson died in the one-vehicle crash at 9:30 p.m.
Police said Danielson was driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler eastbound on Green Avenue. The SUV hit power poles and Danielson was ejected onto the roadway.

Orange police arrested a burglary suspect late Friday morning after a resident in the Old Orange Historic District called about seeing someone in their detached garage.
Officer P. McDonald reported the resident living in the 800 block of Cypress Avneue described the burglar as riding a bicycle and wearing a lime green jacket. The officer saw a man matching the description on a bicycle on Tenth Street near Henderson Street.
The officer stopped the bicyclist and noticed he had a bulge at his waistband. When patting the man for weapons, the officer discovered a BB gun designed like a Colt .45.
The resident told the officer the pistol belonged to him and had been in the garage.
Mercedes L. Thomas of Orange was arrested for burglary of a building and taken to the Orange County Jail.

Police went to a house at 2 a.m. Sunday after a report of a man firing a gun and threatening to kill someone.
Jackie Lee Huffman III of Orange was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was taken to the Orange County Jail.

Officer D.A. Slaughter reported he answered a 911 call to the 5500 block of Pine Needle Drive, which is off East Allie Payne Road.
A 26-year-old woman told the officer she had been at a party with her husband and something happened that made him mad. They left and he was driving them home. She said his driving was erratic and he was threatening to kill her.
She said she texted her mother to call police. When they arrived at the house, he pointed a gun at her head. The woman’s mother told police the man fired two shots into the air and then walked off.’
Officers found the man and he told them he had a gun. The officer confiscated a loaded Ruger .9 mm pistol. The man denied the allegations.

A litter cleaning crew on Friday found more than fast food wrappers and beer bottles. They found a gun. The crew called police at 1:35 p.m. as they were working along Interstate 10 at eastbound FM 1136. The gun was a Taurus G2 9 mm. It appeared to have been run over by a vehicle.
