A woman was robbed at gunpoint late Friday night at her apartment at 1521 37th Street. Orange police were called at 11:30 p.m. to the complex. The woman said she was coming home from work and when she was at the steps to her apartment, a man grabbed her from behind and held his hand over her face. At first he demanded money and she offered him her billfold. She told police the man then demanded her cards and pressed the gun into her head. After she told him she couldn’t get him money if he was holding her head, he walked down a step and then let her go. She called 9-1-1. The man was described as black, about 5-feet-7-inches with a good build. He was wearing a white shirt.
On Saturday morning, police were called to the same apartment complex when a resident reported his car had been burglarized.
A couple living on Kirby Street Sunday afternoon called police after a man took a mini-refrigerator from near their garage. They told police the refrigerator, worth $140, was sitting by a garbage can, but was not garbage.
They said a man in an old pickup truck backed up into their driveway, loaded the mini-frig and was driving off. The woman went out and yelled at him.
According to the police report, the man returned the mini-frig and waited for police to come. He was arrested for theft.
