On Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, Orange Police Department Narcotics Detectives were conducting surveillance in preparation for a search warrant. During that time, Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala. During that traffic stop, two subjects identified as Andrew Ardoin, 35 of Orange, and Tyrell Bird, 21 of Orange, were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and cocaine. Both Andrew and Tyrell were taken into custody.
A search warrant was then obtained and executed at 2801 Sunset Avenue Apartment 69. During the execution of that search warrant, additional methamphetamine and cocaine were discovered. Samuel Ardoin, 23 of Orange, was also taken into custody. All three subjects were arrested for the following: Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) Felony 2 and Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine) Felony 2.
All three were transported to the Orange County Jail and released to the on-duty staff. The City of Orange Narcotic Division was assisted by the West Orange Police Department.
