Onnie Marie Carouthers, 74, of Vidor, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.
A devoted Christian, Onnie’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved the Lord more than anything and lived each day as a testament to His grace. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she cherished above all else. She shared her love through the warmth of her kitchen, the beauty of her prayers, and the quiet strength of her presence. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she delighted in every moment spent with them.
Onnie also enjoyed the simple blessings of life — gathering around her fire pit, filling her home with music as she played the piano, and creating lasting memories with those she held dear. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 37 years, Calvin Carouthers of Vidor, TX; her children: Lesa Keen and husband Clayton of Vidor, TX, Edward “Bud” Fisher and wife Summer of Vidor, TX, Cory Burleigh of Vidor, TX, Del Edwards and husband James of Cleveland, TX, and Carmen DiGiovanni of Corpus Christi, TX; her siblings: Abbey Wallace and husband Malcolm of Vidor, TX, Allen Lisenby of Carthage, TX, and Vickie Flanigan and husband Joey of Vidor, TX.
Onnie’s legacy of love continues through her treasured grandchildren: Casey, Colby, Sarah, Bradley, Caitlin, Chris, Sydnie, Trenton, Shae, Daniel, Joshua, Ashley, Chrysten, and Chad; and her precious great-grandchildren: Calvin, Iris, Dorian, Jaxson, Kinlee, Avery, Maddie, Aubrey, Brynlee, and Shelby.
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Vic and Joyce Lisenby, and her brother, Aaron Lisenby.
Onnie’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be carried forward with love, faith, and gratitude.
