Orangefield ISD Education Foundation Celebrates Centennial by Investing in Every Classroom Foundation Awards $13,300 to Teachers While Launching Community-Wide Centennial Giving Campaign
ORANGEFIELD, Texas (August 4, 2026) — As Orangefield Independent School District begins celebrating 100 years of educational excellence, the Orangefield ISD Education Foundation marked the occasion Tuesday by investing directly in the people who make that legacy possible. During the district’s annual Convocation, the Foundation presented $13,300 to support all 133 classroom teachers and librarians across Orangefield ISD’s three campuses, providing each educator with funds to help prepare for the new school year. Made possible through the generosity of Foundation donors, the annual classroom gifts reflect the Foundation’s mission to strengthen public education by investing directly in students, teachers, and classrooms.
“This year’s presentation carries even greater meaning because it begins our Centennial celebration,” said Crystal Myers, President of the Orangefield ISD Education Foundation. “For 100 years, Orangefield ISD has been shaped by outstanding educators, supportive families, dedicated alumni, and a community that believes in its schools. Today, we honor that legacy while investing in the next generation of Bobcats.” The Foundation is also using the district’s Centennial year to launch its 2026-2027 Centennial Giving Campaign, inviting alumni, parents, grandparents, local businesses, and community supporters to become part of Orangefield’s next century of success. “Every generation has benefited from those who came before them,” Myers said. “This Centennial gives all of us an opportunity to give something back. Whether your gift is large or small, every donation helps create opportunities for our teachers and students while ensuring Orangefield’s tradition of excellence continues for another hundred years.”
Founded to enhance educational opportunities beyond traditional school funding, the Orangefield ISD Education Foundation provides resources that enrich classrooms, encourage innovation, and support educational excellence throughout the district. Each contribution made during the Centennial Campaign remains in Orangefield ISD, directly benefiting local classrooms and helping teachers provide exceptional learning experiences for students. “This isn’t simply about celebrating our history,” Myers added. “It’s about building our future. The classrooms we support today will shape the leaders, educators, business owners, first responders, and families who will write Orangefield’s next 100 years.”
