The Orangefield school district had 36 early votes for its non-competitive election. Incumbent Dr. Ronald Risinger is running for re-election to the Place 6 seat and Chris Wagstaff is on the ballot opposing him.
Wagstaff asked to withdraw from the election, but he submitted the withdrawal form after the state deadline to withdraw. If the form had been turned in before the deadline, the district would have been able to cancel the election.
Registered voters in the Orangefield ISD will cast school board ballots at their regular voting boxes. Separate tables will be set up at each box for the school board race.
