West Orange-Stark High School students competed against each other in the Stark Reading Scholarship Competition Local Finals.
In Declamation, Tristan Odom won first place, and Madelynn Thibodeaux-Guillory won second place.
In Interpretive Reading, Valeria Ibarra won first place, and Jocelyn Spurr won second place.
First place in both categories will advance to compete in the County Final at the Lutcher Theatre, where they will have the opportunity to win up to $ 6,000 in scholarship money.
