The regular season wrapped up Tuesday with two district champions and three more making the playoffs.
The Bridge City Lady Cardinals beat WOS in straight sets to finish undefeated in district play for the second straight year. Leading BC: Demi Carter 12 kills 3 aces, Taryn Doiron 9 kills 3 aces 13 assists, Anna Kelly 5 kills 4 aces, Cambree LaComb 15 assists 2 aces, Lexi Nugier 6 aces 6 digs. The Cards will open the playoffs vs. Liberty at East Chambers at 6:00pm on Tuesday.

The Deweyville Lady Pirates are the 24-2A District Champs after beating Evadale in four sets. Leading the Pirates: Aces-Ava Henson 4. Haley Williams-4, Lakyn Williams-3, Jill Thompson-2, Maddie Thompson-2, Kills-Presley Clark-9, Jill Thompson-8, Adi Thompson-7, Maddie Thompson-3. Assists- Jill Thompson-16, Presley Clark-14. Vidor hosted Jasper for Senior Night tonight and finished with a program sweep! Varsity won in three sets to finish 7-5 for the season. They will be heading into the playoffs as the third seed for the first time in school history! Freshmen and JV also won in two sets. The Pirates will open the playoffs vs Hardin-Jefferson in Kountze, TBA.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats wrapped up district play tonight at home against the Anahuac Lady Panthers. The Varsity won in 5 sets 23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 21-25, and 15-13. Leading the Bobcats: Blocks – Mackenzie Haley 2, Kaitlyn Jenkins 1, and Greenlea Oldham 1. Aces – Libby Thurman 5 aces, Mackenzie Haley and Lela Francis each had 2. Digs – Harleigh Rawls 27, Libby Thurman 23, Mackenzie Haley 19, Bri Moore 16. Kills – Mackenzie Haley 17, Lela Francis 9, Greenlea Oldham 8. Assists – Brianna Moore 29 and Harleigh Rawls 19. They finished 2nd in district play and will play Vidor in a warm up game at Vidor at 5:00 on Friday. Playoff information TBA.
The Lady Bobcats celebrated their 4 seniors tonight as well. They are Harleigh Rawls, Kylie Mouton. Libby Thurman, and Mackenzie Haley.
The Freshman got things rolling with a two set victory 25-13 and 25-11. Gabby White had 5 assists, 2 kills, and 4 aces. Rilei Hass had 5 aces, 1 kill, and 1 dig. Sophia Marino also hadded in 3 kills and Hallee Becker had 2. Brynlee South had 2 aces and 4 assists. The Freshman team finished their season as Undefeated District Champs! They had only one loss on the entire season finishing 24-1.
The JV won in two sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-22. Jaydin Agerton had 4 aces, 6 digs, and 8 assists. Addisyn Moore had 11 assists and 7 digs. Charlee Sanches had 5 kills and 6 digs. Emily Jeane and Ava Dyer each had 3 kills and Paris Becker had 8 digs. This caps off an incredible season for the JV team. They went 31-3 on the season, with their only 3 losses coming when they played Varsity teams in the Orangefield tournament. They are the Undefeated District Champs and also did not lose a set in all of district play.

LCM secured second place with a 25-15, 22-25, 25-13, 25-10 win over Silsbee. For the Bears: Lexi Tubbleville: 14 Digs; Ava White: 20 Digs, 2 Aces, 4 Kills; Chrissy Joseph: 11 Kills, 7 Blocks, 20 Digs; Mariah Ammons: 8 Kills, 7 Digs; Lindi Perry: 6 Kills, 5 Blocks; Savannah Crabtree: 15 Digs; Hallie Maddox: 40 assists, 10 Digs, 5 Kills. Freshman lost to Silsbee 0-2 and the Bear JV won 2-0. The Bears will have a warm up game at Nederland on Friday at 4:30. They will open the playoffs on Monday vs Splendora at Warren HS at 6pm.

The Lady Bobcats’ volleyball season ended much like it started- in the win column! Each team swept the Buccaneers in two sets! The scores for each match are below:
7th grade B-team: 15-5, 15-8
8th grade B-team: 15-3, 15-4
7th grade A-team: 13-25, 11-25
8th grade A-team: 25-13, 25-19
The Bobcats finished the season with undefeated 7th and 8th grade B-teams, and the 8th grade A-team was the undefeated District Champions! All the matches last night were a testament to the hard work each team has put in, as no team was ever in danger of taking a loss. With confidence and teamwork, all the teams showed why they are the best in the district.
