
Orange County voters went with the statewide trend and approved all seven of the amendments to the Texas Constitution.
The county elections administration office reports a total of 3,845 people voted Tuesday and in early voting.
The local returns for Proposition 1, which will lower school taxes for home owners, had 3,453 votes ‘for’ and 354 votes ‘against.’
Proposition 6 established rights for Texans to hunt and fish. It passed here 3,367 votes to 391.
Proposition 7 allocates a percentage of state tax money for roads and highways. Locally, 3,125 people approved it and 648 were against.
