Orange County Sheriff’s Office Calls January 29-February 4
A large number of vehicle burglaries and vehicle thefts were reported to the sheriff’s office during last week. Deputies and other law enforcement officers in the county are teaming to do extra patrols to catch the thieves.
Vidor had 18 cases of theft from vehicles reported on February 1 and 2. Thirteen of the complaints came from the Wexford Park subdivision.

Credit card abuse, 7:50 a.m. January 29, Highway 12.

Threats, 7:38 p.m. January 29, 1000 block of Henry Street in Vidor.
Dog bite, 7:46 p.m. January 29, 2000 block of Inwood Drive in Vidor.
Theft, 2:04 p.m. January 30, 3700 block of Carter Street in Vidor.
Recovered stolen vehicle, 3:35 p.m. January 30, 8800 block of Highway 12 in Mauriceville.
Harassment, 5:21 p.m. January 30, 4700 block Pine Bluff Road in Little Cypress.
Disturbance, 6:35 p.m. January 30, Lawn Oak Drive in Little Cypress. Man arrested for outstanding warrants.

Disturbance, 7:42 p.m. Janaury 31, 100 block of Pug Road in Vidor.
Disturbance, 10:20 p.m. January 31, 700 block of Spoonmore Road in Vidor.
Pursuit, 1:22 a.m. February 1, Forest Heights neighborhood in Little Cypress. Patrol officer tried to stop a silver Chevrolet pickup truck for traffic violations in a residential area. Truck would not stop and a lengthy chase ensued. Man was eventually arrested.
