The Bridge City girls powerlifting team finished second as a team at the 4A Regional Meet in Palacios, just one point behind Grand Oaks.
Advancing to State for the Cardinals includes Hadley Wall who was second in the 97 pound class. Gabby Moore was second in the 132 class and Mackenzie Scott was second in the 220 class.
The LCM Lady Bears also did well finishing third. Zay’Audria Epps is advancing after a second place finish in the 181 class. And Karlee Cooksey was second in the 198 division.
In 3A Orangefield was sixth as a team. Qualifying for State includes Ashtyn Van Marion who won the 148 class and Naveah Washington who won the gold medal in the 242 division.
