Orange Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the gunman who robbed the Orange Cinema Saturday afternoon was wearing a floppy hat with a marijuana leaf on the front and the word “Kush” on the back.
The man and a woman, who was also wearing a floppy hat, took cash from the employees inside the cinema during the robbery about 1 p.m. The man had a pistol.
The movie “Storks” had already started. People watching the movie did not know the robbery had happened in the lobby.
The man and woman ran from the cinema, which is on Bowling Lane. Residential subdivisions are behind the theater.
Orange police have not arrested anyone in connection with the murder last week of 20-year-old Jeremiah Aaron Klinkhammer. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said investigators have been looking for two people who may be witnesses.
Klinkhammer was shot in the chest at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday while he was in the parking lot of the Sabine Park Apartments at 111 West Pine Avenue.
A pistol was found under a car in the parking lot but Captain Enmon said it had not been fired.
