Orange County Deputy Summer Magnen saw a vehicle on the side of FM 1442 Monday and decided to check on the welfare of the person driving it. What she discovered was probably not what she was expecting.
The driver said he had run out of gas as he was attempting to go to Louisiana. But she also noticed some blood on him. She called it in and an investigation began.
Harris County Homicide Division confirmed they were working the murder of a man in the North End. The result of the investigation put the driver, Darrian Daquan Hall, 20, of Houston, in the Orange County Jail on a charge of Capital Murder.
DeAndre Lamorris Nicholas, 30, was found lying in a ditch in Houston in the early hours of Feb. 27 with fatal stab wounds. According to Captain Joey Jacobs of the Sheriff’s Office, Hall was not only driving Nichols’ vehicle, but investigators found the weapons used inside.
