Norman Earl Wallace, age 83, of Orange, Texas, passed from this life on Friday, October 16, 2020. Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
Norman was born in Concordia, Kansas on Wednesday, July 7, 1937, to parents, Mary (Melvia) and James Leslie Wallace. In 1978, Norman moved to Texas from Newton, Kansas. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing and camping, as well as, bowling, whenever life allowed the time to do so. Spending time with his grandchildren was also on is list of his favorite things to do in life. He had a dog named, “Bruiser”, who was said to be like, “his child”, that loved and spent countless hours with. Norman made his living as a, Crane and Heavy Equipment Operator. While working for, Johnson Brothers Construction, Norman helped build the, Rainbow Bridge, in Bridge City, Texas, and was then the first person to actually drive over the bridge once construction was complete. He also helped construct the, Fred Hartman bridge, in Pasadena, Texas.
Norman was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and wonderful friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Norman is survived by his loving wife, Billie Rose Marsh; children, Norman Earl Wallace, Jr., Leslie Wallace and wife Jenny, Oletta Gurka, DeeAnn Redger and Norma Wallace; 13 Brothers & Sisters; 12 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren, as well as, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
