Newton Co. Sheriff’s Report
by Sheriff Billy Rowles
Hope everyone had a good week. It’s not been too bad around here. I’m going to be out of pocket this week due to being in a Emergency Management School in Beaumont. Chief Hall will be holding the fort down.
Received a report of teenagers screaming and beating up on each other’s cars. That’s not the way we did it when I was a teenager.
We had a lot of power tools stolen up in the Jamestown part of the county. Anyone come into a good deal on power tools, let us know.
We had several calls about people coming on people’s property and threatening the homeowners. Sometimes people are not very smart.
Chief Deputy Cynthia Hall is investigating a sexual assault of a child. Lots goes into these kind of investigations.
Gotta go. Thought for the week: What’s the difference between men and pigs? Pigs don’t turn into men when they drink.
Ya’ll have a great week and if we can help, just hollar. God Bless.
