 Our Volunteer Initiatives Program (VIP) Meetings are scheduled to take place on the following dates and places:

August 9th, 2021,    at      6:00 PM    –    Cade Building, Burkeville

August 11th, 2021,  at     6:00 PM    –    Deweyville Sub-Courthouse

August 16^th, 2021,   at     6:00 PM    –    Newton Civic Center

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 73 calls to service last week from August 2^nd  to August 8th, 2021.    We currently have 16  inmates in the following Jails, 8 housed in Newton, 8 housed in Jasper.   Last week there were 8  individuals booked into the Jail.
