The beautification of downtown Orange continues with the latest mural going up today at the Paula Stout Insurance Agency on Green Ave.
“I was approached by the Orange Lions Club about our large white wall (at the corner of 13th and Green near Reliable Cleaners) and just thought it was a great idea. We’re so excited about helping to beautify the area,” said Stout.
Local artist Maurice Abelson, who is the graphic design instructor at Lamar-Port Arthur, painted the mural on several panels that were put together on the brick wall by The Sign Doctor.
“We gave him our ideas and he put it all together,” Stout said. The tents represent the Lions Carnival and of course the bass for our tournaments. The Ford Mustangs represent our area car shows and more importantly the Stout’s love of the vehicles. “One is a rendition of a Mustang that my husband Adam and his father bought from Al Granger back in the nineties and fixed it up. He still has it and it’s one of his biggest treasures.”
Thanks Paula for providing the space and we can’t wait to see what mural is next for downtown Orange!
