An open house was held in Orange Friday. It celebrated the restoration of a house devastated by Harvey becoming the home again for a very thankful lady. Gloria Neville lives on Thousand Oaks and her house was one of many in that neighborhood that was flooded by Harvey.
Neville admits she has been very blessed since that storm. “I’ve only been in Orange about 40 years, but I’m so glad to have been a part of the Orange community because the hands were out there for you. All you had to do was just to reach and they were there, and I appreciate it,” Neville said thankfully.
The restoration of Neville’s home was a joint effort between Nehemiah’s Vision, Orange County Disaster Rebuild, United Way of Orange County, Red Cross, Catholic Charities, and the Salvation Army. The interior of the house on Thousand Oaks was fully repaired. In addition, the home was provided new appliances and new furniture.
