About 120 people attended the observance of the National Day of Prayer on the lawn of the Orange County Courthouse. A choir sang hymns and led the singing of the National Anthem to begin the program. Others that offered prayers were Dana Hodges of the Concerned Women for America of Texas, David Turner the pastor of Little Cypress Baptist Church, Sheila Faske the chairman of the Republican Party in Orange County, and Ryan Peabody coordinator of Orange County Emergency Management.
