The Orange Natatorium is now closed for the season, two days before the scheduled closing. The city today announced an equipment failure led to the pool being closed on Thursday and Friday.
The natatorium opened on June 6 and was set to be open through the end of Friday.
Last year the city didn’t open the pool for the summer because of a lack of lifeguards. This year, the city council agreed to raise the salaries of lifeguards and pay for their certification training. Most of the lifeguards are college students and will be returning to classes
