
B’Jan Arvie of WOS battles Jasper’s Jacorian Limbrick for a rebound Tuesday in Lumberton
West Orange-Stark survived a furious rally by Jasper to win 74-71 in Lumberton Tuesday in the bi-district round of the 4A playoffs. The Mustangs jumped out to a 16 point lead in the second half, only to watch Leontay Sells and the Bulldogs climb back and cut it to one before Devontra Ranton hit two free throws for the three point win.
Jervondric Simmons shot the lights out with 30 points while Ranton added 20 for WOS. Sells scored 15 of his 25 in the fourth quarter, but it’s the Mustangs moving on to the Area Round for a date with Houston Yates, TBA.

Orangefield saw their season come to an end in Kountze, losing to the 21-4A Champs from Shepherd 51-36. Lathrop and Dischler were the only Bobcats in double figures, 12 and 10 respectively. The Bobcats had a tough night shooting, just 4-26 from 3-point range.

Hardin Jefferson beat Wheatley 65-58 and they’ll play LCM on Friday at 7pm at PNG.
