
The NWS/NOAA is predicting the Sabine River near Deweyville to get close to 4ft over flood stage after the rain April 9-10 in the Deep East Texas area. Those who live along the river should take precautions.
In Orange County, several rain gauges post 24 hour totals between 2.0-2.9 inches. The gauge at FM253 near Hwy. 87 showed a total of 8.65 inches. Big Cow Creek gauge in Newton reported a total of 10.82 and the gauge at Bon Weir reported 11.24 inches.
As of 11:59pm, April 10 roads in and around Kirbyville, Call, Trout Creek, and Bleakwood are closed.
