Montrey Darrell Robinson, was born in Orange, Texas on November 13, 1989 to Lagatha Polk-Perry and Marcus Robinson. At the age of three, Montrey along with his mother and brother relocated from Orange, Texas to Houston where he was educated in the Houston and FortBend Independent School Districts. At a very young age Montrey enjoyed playing sports and was a member of several youth basketball leagues playing along side of his younger brother Marcus Robinson. Montrey and Marcus were inseparable even up to his untimely death. The two brothers would spend hours playing sports and video games and enjoying their unbreakable bond throughout Montrey’s life.
Montrey aka “Trey” took pride in his appearance and took an interest in fashion at a young age. Montrey, his younger brother Marcus, and step-dad Andre were advocate sneaker heads and were known for waking up early on Saturday mornings to stand in long lines on Jordan release dates to buy sneakers together.
Montrey, understood the power of working and being self sufficient and started working as a teenager. He worked a variety of jobs in the hospitality and restaurant industry. His dedication to being a great team member led him to positions as a shift-supervisor and department supervisor. Montrey continued to work in the culinary and hospitality industry for years.
Montrey was a very sweet child, kind and loving. Family was important to him, Montrey enjoyed traveling and was fond of back to Orange Tx to spend time with his Grandparents “Pop” Frankie & Alice Beasley and Carl and Barbra Polk. He shared a special bond with them and would have lots of laughs with his grandparents, Montrey made an impression on the lives he came encounter with that will never be forgotten.
