LCM Bear Baseball defeated the Westbrook Bruins in the season opener 12-1. It was a multiple hit night for 4 of the Bears. Parker Freeman with 3, Marco Bandiero with 2 and a 3 run home run and 5 total RBI’s, Parker Seago with 2 and a 2 RBI double, and Jacob Scheiderer with 2 and an RBI. Other Bears in the hit column were Jackson Struwe, Drayden Cook, Ethan Fry, and Clay Raney with the other lone RBI.
Landon Richards earned his first win of the season allowing 3 hits over 4 innings striking out 8 and only walking 3. Parker Freeman came in relief and shut the door striking out 6 and walking 3 giving up 0 hits in 3 innings of work. The Bears are back in action this Thursday at the Brandon Belt Classic in Hudson opening up with Henderson at 3:45.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Vidor Lady Pirates 4-0. Teal Kibodeaux picked up the complete game shut out giving up 3 hits and 2 walks with 7 strikeouts.
The Lady Bobcats struck first with a 2 run top of the first thanks to back to back to back doubles by Aubree Beck, Hallee Becker, and Charlee Sanches. Charlee Sanches had 3 RBIs on the night with two hits. Hallee Becker scored 3 of the 4 runs on the night. Jocelyn Droddy and Karlie Traxler both had hits.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 8-0 on the season and begin play in the Port Neches tournament this Thursday vs. Bridge City at 10:15 and Port Neches-Groves at 12:00.
