One incumbent has filed for the municipal election in Pinehurst. City Secretary Debbie Cormier reported that Dan Mohon filed Thursday morning at the Pinehurst City Hall.
Mohon serves on the City Council as an Alderman and as the current Mayor Pro-Tem. Mohon was appointed to the Pinehurst City Council in July 2010 to fill the position left vacant when Alderwoman Bessie Huckaby resigned. He has been elected to four terms since then.
Cormier indicated Mohon is the only person to file in Pinehurst for the three positions on the May 4 municipal election ballot. The seats of T. W. Permenter and Sarah McClendon are also expiring this May.
