Michael (Mikey) Christian Gobert, was called to his heavenly home, March 24, 2018 He was preceded in death by his siblings, George and Georne’ Brown, (Orange, TX) and grandfather, Ricky Tillman, Sr., (Vinton, LA).
Mikey leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Iris Tillman; father, Miguel Gobert, Sr.; brothers, Miguel (Deuce) Gobert, II., and Kane Ramirez, Orange, TX; sisters, Halle Brown, Riley Tillman, and Meaira Gobert, Orange, TX, his grandparents, Melvin and Jane Wilkes, Michael and Judy Gobert, Orange, TX, along with a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, Vinton, LA. under the leadership of Pastor, Elijah Jasper, Ill. He also enjoyed attending service at the Conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses, with his grandparents.
Mikey was a graduate of West Orange-CISD -“Class of 2017”. He attended Texas Southern University Houston, TX, majoring in Computer Science.
Mikey started each day by reading an inspirational scripture texted to him from Aunt T-Rose. His genuineness, positive outlook and optimism could be felt by all he encountered. You could always count on Mikey to “tell it like it is”, using his dry sense of humor. His unique personality enabled him to turn any weakness into a strength and would light up any room he entered. He would entertain family and friends, as they enjoyed with laughter, as he performed his lack of rhythmic dance moves. Much like other boys in the community, he grew up loving to play sports. Baseball was his sport of choice. The joy and love he possessed for that sport, was visible anytime he had a bat, ball and glove, in hand.
Those who truly knew Mikey, knew he was a “natural born” finesser. His way with words and love for others was enough for you to fall victim to Mikey’s charm or “finesse game”. His desire to always portray the stylish best, would cause many to wonder, if perhaps he was a “GQ” Model.
Mikey’s love for family and friends was genuine and had no bounds. His words were “Be who you are” and “Always be true to yourself”.
Services will be Saturday, March 31st at Starlight C.O,G.I.C., 2800 Bob Hall Rd. Orange, TX. Viewing will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of service starting at 11:00 A.M.

Dear Family,
Mikey was dearly loved. Little wonder, that we are emotionally stunned. As the psalmist declared: “I have grown numb and become completely crushed; my anguished heart makes me groan aloud.” (Psalm 38:8) Many of us feel this same way. At this difficult time “ may you have… mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.” ( 1 Timothy 1:2). Sorry for the loss of Mikey.
