On the morning of July 27th a horrific accident took place that is every parents worst fear. While traveling to football practice a vehicle carrying five of our communities children left the road and struck a tree, miraculously there was no loss of life. The accident however left all of the kids injured to some extent. They are all recovering but three of the children, Hayden, Clayton, and Peanut Moore received the most life threating injuries and are still in the hospital as of July 29. All of these children and their families have a long road ahead of them and need our prayers and support.
Ray Moore and his family are life long members of the Mauriceville community. Ray has always been there, volunteering with the Mauriceville Youth Football League or Orange Youth Baseball and Softball and more recently he has begun volunteering with the Mauriceville Heritage Association. Anyone that knows Ray or his family knows he is always there all you have to do is ask. I’ve known Ray for many years and I’ve never heard him say “NO” when ask to help with anything.
The Mauriceville Heritage Association is planning a benefit on Sept 24th at the Mauriceville Community Center with more details to come.
